![]() It's first incarnation was as a home stereo addon, where it supposedly fixed the fact that woofers, mids, and tweeters weren't "time aligned". The REAL thing people like (or not) is the sizzle (and the boom, if you count the Lo EQ). With that being said, on my Marshall VS100H head(solid state), it did make it bigger, and thicker sounding, and more 'tube like'. oh, and a programable EQ, that way you can switch EQ curves with every preset. ![]() I would agree with above, you have a great rig, get a wireless, much more useful. Also take in mind, I havent used it for years, or anything like that, just a couple moths, playing around with it. It also scoops the mids, which can be good or bad, depending on your sound. Since I use it anyways, to play with the mids, it really didnt add anything I aleady had. honestly, I use a GE-7 in the loop, and it wasnt much different than cranking the left, and right sliders. not much different than cranking the presence knob. The high knob did clarify, but also made it really 'sizzily' sounding. Since the 5150 already has a bunch of bass, it just got more muddy. The low knob just added bass, didnt really clarify it. people say the 5150 is a lot better with the SM, so I tried it. I have a 5150, and I bought the pedal version of the SM.
